Play Group
At Pastels Preschool and Daycare, we believe that the early years of a child’s life are the foundation for lifelong learning. Our Play Group program is specially designed for children aged 1.8 to 2.5 years, focusing on creating a safe, joyful, and stimulating environment where little ones can explore, discover, and grow.
We understand that for many children, Play Group is their first step away from home. That’s why our caring and experienced educators ensure a smooth transition by providing a warm, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere. Through a blend of structured activities and free play, we nurture curiosity, encourage creativity, and help develop essential social and emotional skills.
Learning Through Play
In our Play Group, we follow the philosophy that children learn best through play. Our daily schedule includes age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, music, dance, sensory play, art and craft, and outdoor fun. These activities are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills, language development, and early cognitive abilities.
Safe and Stimulating Environment
The Play Group classrooms at Pastels Preschool are bright, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged to spark imagination. We use safe, child-friendly furniture and play materials to ensure that every learning experience is secure and enjoyable. Hygiene and safety are our top priorities, with regular sanitization and attentive supervision.
Social and Emotional Development
Our Play Group program provides children with their first experiences of making friends, sharing, and working in small groups. Teachers gently guide children to express themselves, respect others, and develop confidence in a group setting. These interactions lay the foundation for smooth progression into nursery and further schooling.
We value the role of parents in a child’s development. Regular updates, feedback sessions, and events like “Parent-Child Day” ensure that families are actively involved in their child’s Play Group journey. This partnership helps us create a consistent and supportive learning experience.
